This free journalism workshop on Friday 13 November 2009 gets students talking with experts, writing bite-sized text, backing up opinions with evidence and selecting images to create their own science news story.
This event is part of Creative Quarter 09: An insight into the creative industries for 13 – 19 year olds.
Returning for its fourth successive year, Creative Quarter has established itself as a key event on the schools and colleges calendar for young people to find out about the various career and education pathways available in the creative industries.
The Science Museum event runs alongside activities at Imperial College London, Royal Albert Hall, Royal College of Art, Royal College of Music, Historic Royal Palaces, Austrian High Commission, Serpentine Gallery and the V&A. All provide students with the opportunity to meet designers, scientists and artists, and take part in workshops, drop-in activities, talks and demonstrations.
For highlights of last year’s programme visit www.imperial.ac.uk/outreach/news.
The complete programme of Creative Quarter events will be available on www.exhibitionroad.com from 1 Sept 2009.
